To ensure uninterrupted service, all .de domain renewals must be completed at least 7 days prior to the expiry date.
If a .de domain is not renewed within this 7-day period prior to expiry, it may no longer be eligible for standard renewal processing and will enter a Redemption Grace Period (RGP).
During this period, the domain may still be recovered; however, applicable redemption fees will apply in addition to the standard renewal cost.
Once a domain enters the redemption period, restoration is subject to the availability and conditions of the registry recovery process.
We strongly recommend renewing domains in advance to avoid entering the redemption phase and to ensure continuous ownership and service availability.
